PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Mother Nature helps us thaw out just in time for the holidays.



TODAY: The day starts off with wind chills in the single digits. It doesn't get much better during the afternoon with wind chill values in the teens. It's not as windy as yesterday, but it's bitterly cold with mostly sunny skies, high 26.



TONIGHT: The coldest night for Philly since January 17th. Frosty feel with a low of 14, single digits in outlying areas.



MONDAY: Arctic air holds on for one more day. Temperatures stay stuck sub-freezing for many. High 31, a degree or two warmer throughout South Jersey. Plenty of sun for all.



TUESDAY (CHRISTMAS EVE): Lots of clouds with a rain or snow shower around, high 39.



WEDNESDAY (CHRISTMAS): A quiet day with a mix of clouds and sun, high 40.



THURSDAY: Partly sunny and seasonable, high 41.



FRIDAY: A touch milder with intervals of clouds and sun, high 43.



SATURDAY: Lots of clouds, and we're watching the chance for a shower, high 45.



SUNDAY: Some rain possible, milder. High 48.
