PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Rain arrives in time for Thanksgiving morning. Then, get ready for a taste of winter.

When the rain moves out, a winter-like chill settles in for the holiday weekend.

TODAY (THANKSGIVING): A soaking rain is set to arrive before dawn and last through mid-day for most. We can expect between nearly a half inch to three-quarters of an inch of rainfall, high 53. A gusty wind sets in as the rain departs gusting up to 30mph.

TONIGHT: Clearing out, staying breezy. Low 37, near 30 for outlying areas.

FRIDAY: Some sun early followed by increasing clouds throughout the day. A stray shower can't be ruled out, high 47.

SATURDAY: A chilly start to the day. Clouds mix with sunshine, high 40. We keep a chilly breeze throughout the day making it feel like it's only in the 30s!

SUNDAY: The first day of December will be unseasonably cold under a mix of clouds and sun, high 39.

MONDAY: Partly sunny, brisk and cold, high 40.

TUESDAY: Another cold day with clouds and sun, high 40.

WEDNESDAY: Cold with more clouds than sun with the chance of a late day snow shower, high 40.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny skies, still cooler than normal. High 42.
