Rumbling in New Jersey and Pennsylvania remains a mystery

A rumbling sensation reported by many residents in our area remains a mystery.

The calls came into Action News around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from parts of Philadelphia, Bucks County and across South Jersey.

Some had wondered if it was a minor earthquake, but the United States Geological Survey said no official seismic activity was recorded.

In the past, such reports have come from sonic booms caused by military jets.

The military has not yet confirmed if that was the case again Wednesday.
