A three-alarm apartment fire has displaced about 100 residents in West Philadelphia.

WEST PHILADELPHIA -- A three-alarm apartment fire has displaced about 100 residents in West Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 5 a.m. Sunday at the Netherlands Apartments on the 4300 block of Chestnut Street.

Officials say the fire was confined to the fourth floor.

The fire was brought under control around 9 a.m.

The city's Office of Emergency Management and the Red Cross have opened a shelter for the victims at the Cato School on the 4200 block of Ludlow Street.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
