Body found in Wilmington park; death ruled 'suspicious'

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Wilmington police are investigating the discovery of a body in a park Tuesday morning.

It was shortly before 9:00 a.m. when Parks and Recreation staff discovered the body in Eden Park, located in the 700 block of New Castle Avenue.

Staff then alerted police and paramedics, who responded to the scene.

Authorities say the body is that of an adult male, possibly in his 50's. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the death is suspicious at this point.

Police have closed the park while the investigation continues.
