Man gunned down in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Wilmington police say a man was gunned down Monday night and they are asking for your help in locating the killer.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. police responded to the area of Taylor and North Pine streets for a report of a shooting.

Arriving officers located 35-year-old Brian Rivers of New Castle laying on the corner, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

CPR was performed on Rivers until paramedics arrived.

Rivers was transported to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police have not released any information pertaining to suspects or a motive.

This shooting happened less than a block away from a homicide that occurred last week.
