SHAFTER, Calif. (WPVI) -- A Southern California woman wants to know who stole her picture off Facebook and used it to request donations to pay for a funeral.

Lupita Gonzalez says two donation jars were found at a store and a gas station in Shafter.

They feature her picture, but someone else's name.

She says she found out about the jars when her cousins called her mom, thinking that she had passed away.

Gonzalez is now asking for people to stop donating and for the person behind the scam to come forward.

"It's just not right what he's doing, I don't like it at all. I don't like it at all." she said.

Gonzalez says about 15 dollars were placed in the jars.

She plans to give the money to her church.
