Philadelphia police have arrested a man who they say raped a six-year-old girl.
Investigators say the attack happened Wednesday night at around eight inside a home on the 4300 block of Shelmire Avenue in the Mayfair section of the city.
Police say the man knows the girl.
Officers arrested the man late last night in Abington, Montgomery County, and brought him back to Philadelphia.
The young victim is being treated at Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children.
Police have charged the suspect with rape and other offenses.
