Arrest in church vandalism case

TULLYTOWN, Pa. - February 21, 2008

Someone has been committing acts of vandalism at the Saint Michael's Church and school since the beginning of February.

Among the incidents, lewd words were carved into the doors of the church. The petition book on the altar was also defaced. Church officials say a letter containing an undisclosed threat was placed in the rectory mail slot.

Police have now taken Sandralee Banks-Kastroup into custody.

Investigators from other Bucks County towns are looking into whether she played any roll in vandalism at other area churches.

Banks-Kastroup will be arraigned later tonight.
