A tie belonging Ohio State University President Gordon Gee is now in space.
It was taken aboard the shuttle Endeavor by Dr. Richard Linnehan - an Ohio state alumnus-turned-astronaut.
The school says it's the first bow tie in space.
When Endeavor lands after a two-week mission to the international space station, the scarlet-and-gray bow tie will be placed in a commemorative frame.
Linnehan plans to present the spacey bow tie to the school's president.
