Police: Utility imposters invade home

LOGAN - May 1, 2008

Philadelphia police are investigating a home invasion robbery in the 5200 block N. 9th St. Street. They tell Action News it happened shortly after 10 a.m.

Two men with a gun were reportedly posing as PGW workers. Police say they kicked in the door of the home, tied up and then tasered one man inside. A second man hid during the robbery.

According to police, the two men took a safe containing $1,400 in jewelry and the deed to the property.

The suspects are described as light complexioned black men. One was about 6 feet tall, weighted about 200 pounds and was wearing a blue jump suit, orange vest and an orange hard hat. The other suspect was wearing all blue clothing and carrying a black brief case. The suspects fled the home in a blue vehicle.
