Phila. man kills woman, self near school
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - June 7, 2008 It happened before dawn Friday in a van parked next to Holy
Innocents Elementary School.
Police say a 27-year-old man shot 19-year-old Iris Reyes Mulero
multiple times and then killed himself with a single gunshot.
Police identified the man as Thomas Santiago; the city Medical
Examiner's Office identified him as Tomas Santiago Alvelo.
Police say neither had any connection to the school or the
adjoining St. Lucy School for Children With Visual Impairments.
