A different type of summer camp

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - July 1, 2008

But some kids are ditching campfire songs and smores for the CSI Forensic Science Program at Michigan State University.

Camp -- CSI style -- involves solving the crime of a missing woman who was possibly killed.

Of course, the crime and the crime scene aren't real.

But Michigan State Police Sergeant Michele Glasgow says it's just like what she sees everyday, minus the body parts.

Reece Scheuer is having a great time doing the stuff he sees in TV crime shows.

The 15-year-old tells the Lansing State Journal he's getting a head start on his career goal of becoming a medical examiner.
