The family of four is safe after the fire on Saturday destroyed the Beaver Falls home they were renting.
Neighbors say they knocked on the burning house to see if anyone was inside, but the flames were too fierce to try to save the dogs.
Firefighters attempted to resuscitate the two adult dogs, but failed.
Beaver Falls Fire Chief Mark Stowe says state police fire marshals will investigate the cause of the fire.
