Police tell Action News Patel's wife, who also works at the store, found her deceased husband on her way to work.
Kanu Patel's brother-in-law, Raju, could not contain his emotions as he described the father of two.
He says Kanu was a friendly, hardworking man who woke up in the wee hours to open the Dunkin Donuts store and provide for his family.
The Dunkin Donuts store never opened Saturday.
Police hope surveillance video will create a break in the case.
They say there are many videos that they are gathering and looking at.
