Kidnap and Robbery in Fairmount Park

October 5, 2008 6:35:04 AM PDT
Philadelphia Police say a good samaritan got much more than he bargained for, when he stopped to help a disabled vehicle.

The Samaritan was driving along Chamounix Drive in Fairmount Park, about 1:30A.M. He stopped to help two men, who said their SUV had broken down.

That's when, police say, one man pulled a gun, and forced the samaritan back into his vehicle.

The samaritan was forced to drive to West Lehigh Avenue, where he was beaten, and robbed of cash and his ATM card.

The suspects then took off.

Police are searching for them.

The samaritan was taken to Temple Hospital for treatment. He should fully recover.
