ShopSmart magazine tested dozens of products to find everything from the best blow dryer to the best battery.

How much does it cost to get lush, long lashes? According to the January issue of ShopSmart magazine the top wand is the 24-dollar Lancome Paris Definicils. The best bargain buy is the 7-dollar MaxFactor Lash Perfection Volume Couture.

We all want to get that salon look at home and most great hairstyles begin with a blow dryer but ShopSmart said when it comes to drying time, a 200-dollar blow dryer isn't any better than a 20-dollar one. However there are some standouts when considering factors like how quiet the blow dryer is and how easy it is to use.

The Chi Pro Dryer GF 1505 for 135-dollars is a smart splurge and the Revlon Ionic Cermic Pro Stylist RV484 for just 20-dollars is the best Bargain Buy.

If you're in the market for a straightening iron the 100-dollar Infiniti Nano Silver by Conair SS9 is a smart spluge, the 30-dollar Revlon Perfect Heat Ceramic RVST2001C is a bargain buy.

Looking for the best battery for that toy or digital camera you got as a holiday gift?

ShopSmart named the 21-cent Kirkland Signature from Costco as the best for toys. The 2-dollar Energizer Ultimate Lithium battery ranked best for digital cameras. And the best rechargeable batteries are the Duracell rechargeable for 3-75 and the Duracell pre-charged rechargeable for 4-dollars each.

For the best GPS navigation system to get you where you need to go ShopSmart said look no further than the Garmin. The magazine ranked both the Garmin Nuvi 200 for 150-dollars and the Nuvi 205 for 200-dollars as best bargain buys.
