Firefighter injured battling Del. Co. blaze

COLWYN, Pa. - January 20, 2009 Around 12:30 a person in the downstairs apartment on the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Colwyn reported that the apartment above was on fire.

When the fire department arrived to the scene there was heavy fire in the home.

The fire was brought up to 2 alarms, and salt trucks were called out to help with the water, which was turning to ice.

A firefighter was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. No word on how he hurt himself.
