Worker killed after fall from bucket

WASHINGTON TWP., N.J. - January 21, 2009 Around 10:22 this morning a Gloucester County Public Works employee working inside a bucket truck was positioned in the middle of the east and westbound lanes on Greentree Road in Washington Township attempting to repair a traffic signal.

A Comcast box truck, driven by 42-year-old John Tarricone, was traveling eastbound on Greentree Road and struck the bucket portion of the county truck and ejected the worker.

The worker, identified as 64-year-old Donald Miller of Deptford, was rushed to Kennedy Memorial Hospital where he died from the injuries sustained in the fall.

The Washington Township police are investigating.
