Trenton Police Patrol Officer Mark DiNatale was assigned to investigate this incident. It was reported that at the time of the incident the of 2-year-old victim was walking home with her mother, Ms. Yolanda Acevedo, 20, and that upon approaching the intersection of East State Street and Garfield Avenue a white pick-up truck struck the little girl.
The pick-up truck failed to stop after striking the 2-year-old girl. The victim was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld to be treated. The victim was listed in stable condition.
