An elementary school Valentines

ABINGTON, Pa. - February 13, 2009 It was a fun preview of the holiday for these first and second graders as they put finishing touches on Valentine's Day gifts and handed out

Valentine's Day is all about love, and these students want their families to know how much they matter.

First grader Jai Garner says her whole family is her valentine.

First grader Ryan Morgan says he thinks his family is going to go out for Valentine's Day.

Whatever happened to sibling rivalry? Two boys chose their sisters as their valentine.

"I don't know, I like her," second grader Zach Hediger said of the reason he chose his sister.

"She is nice and she let's me borrow her room when I sometimes don't have a room because my brother's sometimes noisy," second grader Matt Werner said.

Some little girls think their mom deserves a special gift.

"I'm giving my mom something that I hope she'll like. It's a bracelet with a rose on it," first grader Devyn Devaney said.

"I'm going to ask my dad if he can get her some chocolates," second grader Theresa Cerreti said.

"I'm going to try to make her a heart," first grader Hiroko Miller said.

The students at Our Lady Help of Christians are showing their love for preschool teacher Diane Hediger.

She is walking in October in the 3-Day for Breast Cancer, and they're dressed down today to donate a dollar for her cause.

All the kids agree, giving a gift on Valentine's Day, even if it's just $1, is the best way to show love.
