Man arrested after 6-hour police standoff

EASTON, Pa. (AP) - February 16, 2009 Police say the armed man barricaded himself inside his Easton home shortly after midnight Sunday and threatened to injure another person inside.

The man did not comply with police orders, so the Pennsylvania State Police response team was called to assist. He surrendered and was taken into custody around 6 a.m. Monday.

No one was injured in the standoff.

The man was taken to a hospital for a psychological evaluation. Police haven't released his name.

Police say the man faces terroristic threats and possibly related charges.
