Flu in Phila. area now "widespread" says CDC

February 18, 2009

Just as expected, doctors are starting to see more cases of the flu in our area.

If you take a look at the CDC's map, it now shows 'widespread activity'- that's the highest level- in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Experts say it's still not too late to get a flu shot if you haven't gotten sick yet. Flu season can last well into spring.

Another good way to protect yourself, of course, is to wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.
