Get great art, no cash necessary

HADDON TWP., New Jersey - February 25, 2009

A unique show called "Art 4 Barter" opens tonight with a reception at the SOHA Gallery at 1001 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township.

Instead of offering their works for sale, the artists exhibiting in the gallery space behind the SOHA salon are asking for goods or services they want or need.

One of the artists is looking for rolls of bubble wrap. Others are looking for gasoline, haircuts, tax preparation, digital cameras, software and web page design.

Several are willing to negotiate for anything and will be at tonight's opening reception from 6-9 p.m. to discuss what potential patrons have to offer. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Works that aren't sold (or bartered for) tonight will stay at the Gallery for at least a week.
