Police say the boy was in the care of his daycare provider located in the 900 block of Brighton Street in the city's Lawncrest section. The boy was reportedly fussy so the caretaker put him down for a nap. At 5:20pm, the caretaker checked on the boy, but he was unresponsive. Medics were called and the boy was rushed to Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children where he died at 6:34pm.
At this time, foul play is not suspected, however the boy has no medical history that would lead police to believe his death was brought on by a pre-existing condition.
