Website lets parents trade items

March 23, 2009

The chair's in nearly-new condition and his mom, Donna, is hoping another toddler will be able to use it.

That's why she's posted it on Freepeats.org -- a website that enables parents of young children to trade all sorts of things kids need.

Freepeats members join the site for a one-time fee of $4.95. Then they post lists of what they have and what they need.

Members can search through other members' lists and contact each other by phone or email to work out trades. No cash changes hands.

Donna's looking for a dresser for Raymond's room.

She's already given away a baby swing and a winter jacket.

As a special offer to our Saving with 6abc viewers, Freepeats is waiving the $4.95 membership fee for the Philadelphia group between now and Sunday night, March 29, 2009. So, you have nothing to lose by signing up and checking it out.
