Armed robbery suspect looks directly at camera

Police need your help in identifying suspect

New Castle County Police are asking for your help in identifying a suspect in the armed robbery of a 7-11 convenience store. The image above shows the suspect, captured by surveillance cameras, as he exited the store, located on S. Gerald Avenue in Newark.

The incident happened on Saturday at 12:11 p.m. That's when police say the man entered the 7-11 store brandishing a handgun. The man forced the clerk to open the cash register before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect, who was wearing a blue sweatshirt, was last seen fleeing into a nearby development.

After questioning witnesses, police learned that the suspect may have fled the area with another white male in a white colored four-door sedan.
