Woman's hair burned in assault

WILMINGTON, Del. - April 6, 2009 - Around 5:09 p.m. Sunday police were called out for a report of a woman burned in the 800 block of West 5th Street.

According to investigators, the 49-year-old victim says she was walking home and, when she got to her house, she found three or four juveniles sitting on her steps.

She tells police she asked them to leave, then walked past them to her front door.

Police say all of the suspects fled on foot.

The woman was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Police only have a vague description of the suspects, but say one may be a light-skinned black male possibly named "Kenny"
