Phillies try again for win vs. Braves

PHILADELPHIA - April 7, 2009 - In their 2009 opener, it was the Phillies who were victimized by the long ball.

They will try to get their offense in gear and even their record at 1-1 when they resume their three-game series with the Braves tonight.

Brian McCann hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Jeff Francoeur and Jordan Schafer added solo shots in the second as Atlanta beat Philadelphia 4-1 on Sunday.

Jamie Moyer is the Phillies' scheduled starter this evening. The 46-year-old left-hander is set to begin his 23rd season in the majors after going 16-7 with a 3.71 ERA in 33 starts in 2008.

Right-hander Jair Jurrjens will start for the Braves. He went 13-10 with a 3.68 ERA in 31 starts in 2008, his rookies season.
