Gas bypass may have lead to fatal fire

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - April 8, 2009 It started at about 10:53 Tuesday night in a house on the 2500 block of North Chadwick Street.

Firefighters had to battle through the smoke and flames to pull the trapped victim from the house.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
