High school senior dies of car-crash injuries

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - April 9, 2009 Authorities say 18-year-old Micah Berthold died late Wednesday afternoon at Lancaster General Hospital.

The Lancaster County coroner, Dr. Stephen Diamantoni, says Berthold suffered multiple traumatic injuries in a car crash early Tuesday.

Police say the car he was driving crossed into the oncoming lane of Route 41 in neighboring Chester County and collided head-on with a sport utility vehicle.

Berthold was a senior at Lancaster Mennonite School.
