Alleged gang member arrest, guns & drugs seized

The Vineland Police Department has initiated a Violent Crime and Gang Task Force in cooperation with the New Jersey State Attorney Generals Office. The investigation was launched in conjunction with a targeted anti-gang initiative that is part of Governor Jon S. Corzine's Strategy for Safe Streets and Neighborhoods. 21-year-old Luis O. Figueroa AKA "Rugged" was targeted.On Monday, members of the Vineland Police Departments Street Crimes Unit, Narcotics Unit, New Jersey State Police T.E.A.M.S. Unit and the Vineland Police Departments K-9 Unit executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Grape St. Luis Figueroa and his brother, Anthony Figueroa were detained. The following evidence was seized during the execution of the search warrant: 4 guns, over $10,000 in cash, over 11 grams of crack, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Both Figueroa brothers face a number of charges.
