Retail gas prices are down for the first time in two months and benchmark crude prices tumbled four- percent.

The national average at the pump fell just 0.3-cents overnight to $2.69 a gallon. But experts say it's at least a sign and a glimmer of hope that the steady trek upward has come to an end.
