Texas boaters recount week lost at sea

BLESSING, Texas - August 31, 2009 Tressel Hawkins told NBC's "Today Show" Monday that they saw the helicopters several days after their 23-foot catamaran capsized. He says that let them know officials were searching for the boaters.

James Phillips owns the capsized boat and told the Houston Chronicle that he never doubted they would be rescued.

The men left for an overnight fishing trip on Aug. 21, but their boat soon flooded.

The Coast Guard scoured a massive area until Friday.

Hawkins says the men hallucinated so much that at first they weren't sure if the private boat that found them Saturday night was real.
