The Wellness Community of Philadelphia hosted a remembrance at the Suzanne Morgan Center.
Bulbs for a memorial flower garden were planted and nearby there are commemorative bricks honoring loved ones who fought bravely to beat the disease.
There is one brick there honoring Action News' very own Gary Papa, who lost his battle with prostate cancer in June.
