Terrence M. Trottman, 18, vanished at about 10:00 a.m.
Police say he had been ordered sent to prison, and was handcuffed to a bench to await transport by a sheriff's deputy.
While waiting, police say Trottman was able to slip out of the handcuff and escape.
Trottman is described as a black male, 5'8", 140 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes and a muscular build.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Trottman is urged to call 911.
