Delaware lawmakers consider table games

DOVER, Del. (AP) - January 20, 2010

A House committee on Wednesday voted to release a bill authorizing table games at Delaware's slot machine casinos, which would receive 66 percent of the gambling revenue compared to 29 percent for the state. The bill also would create a state lottery commission to regulate and oversee table games, and a new division of gaming enforcement.

A state Senate committee, meanwhile, released a separate bill aimed at preventing cheating on table games, paving the way for a possible vote in the full Senate later Wednesday.

Delaware already offers a state lottery, slot machine gambling, and betting on horse races and professional football games.
