Weaver spoke tonight in North Philadelphia, concentrating on recent flash mobs running rampant on the streets.
The running back says parents need to open their eyes, get involved, take control, and become advocates.
"We've got to captivate this generation coming up, got to pull them, because we're losing them every step of the way," Weaver said.
Weaver says he knows the struggle parents face; he was raised by a single mother.
Still, Weaver believes parents are losing grasp and need to reconnect with their kids.
