Go out to eat and help end childhood hunger

PHILADELPHIA - September 19, 2010

Behind this initiative is a man who grew up in Camden and dealt with this issue first hand.

Aaron McCargo, Jr., spoke with Action News about the Great American Dine Out.

The nationwide event invites you to eat out this week, and the Philadelphia area has the largest number of restaurants taking part.

The participating restaurants offer discounts, then send donations to the "Share Our Strength" organization.

It's a win-win for anyone concerned about this important issue.

"I believe that if we team up together we can end childhood hunger by 2015 and we can really see what we've done," McCargo said.

75 restaurants in our area are taking part, including PF Chang's, TGI Friday's and Boston Market.
