A central Pennsylvania man has been charged with taking several hundred dollars in winnings that had been left in a slot machine.

State police say the man took a voucher for $725 from the slot machine at the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course early Friday morning.

Troopers say 50-year-old John Lane Jr., of Felton, York County, knew the woman who lost the voucher was looking for it but never let anyone know he had the voucher. Police say he fled the casino after redeeming the voucher for cash.

A criminal complaint charging lane with theft of lost or mislaid property has been filed in Dauphin County.

A phone listing for Lane could not immediately be located Monday.
