Police say 42-year-old Donald Griffith and a 20-year-old male were involved in an accident around 8:30 p.m. at Frankford and Devereaux avenues in Wissinoming.
Following the accident, authorities say Griffith shot the 20-year-old in the abdomen.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later at Temple University Hospital.
Griffith fled the scene, but was later captured on Saturday.
He is charged with murder and related offenses and is being held without bail.
