4 injured in Roosevelt Boulevard crash

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - February 13, 2011

The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. near Ryan Avenue.

Police tell Action News that the driver of a Toyota Highlander was traveling northbound in the inner lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle, striking three other vehicles before the SUV flipped over the onto its roof.

Firefighter and medics worked to remove the driver of the overturned Toyota as well as the occupants of a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Three of the injured were transported to Aria Hospital-Torresdale Division and one person was transported to Hahnemann Hospital. None of the injuries are life threatening.

Charges are pending against the driver of the Toyota.
