MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) - March 4, 2011 --
The prosecution is set to deliver closing statements Friday at Atlantic City Councilman Marty Small's voter fraud trial.
Marty Small is accused of tampering with absentee ballots in the June 2009 Democratic mayoral primary in which Small was trounced by incumbent Lorenzo Langford.
Small was acquitted of similar charges in 2006 involving vote-getting in a mayoral election in which he was not a candidate.
Small's lawyer has told jurors the entire case is built solely on the word of a cocaine pusher who cut a plea deal for cooperating with prosecutors.
The testimony has spanned five months.
