Two important recalls, plus new iPhone app

March 23, 2011

The death of a 7-month-old girl in Colorado has prompted the government to re-issue a crib recall.

The baby girl apparently got trapped and suffocated between the detached drop-side and the mattress of her recalled crib.

The crib was bought secondhand and re-assembled without safety pegs in the bottom tracks.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Delta Enterprise Corporation are re-announcing the 2008 recall of nearly a million drop-side cribs with Crib Trigger Lock and Safety Peg hardware.

Missing safety pegs can cause the crib's drop-side rail to disengage from the track, creating a hazardous space.

If you have a Delta crib with a missing safety peg, stop using it immediately and contact Delta for a free, easy-to-install repair kit.

More information on the re-announced recall, including crib model numbers, are on www.cpsc.gov

Check your fridge. Palmyra Bologna Company has recalled about 23,000 pounds of deli-sliced and packaged Seltzer's Regular Beef Lebanon Bologna.

The recall follows four reported cases of E coli illnesses.

It affects bologna in 6, 12, and 16-ounce packages with Lot number 01351. The Best By dates are April 20th to April 22nd.

Return the bologna for a refund.

Wish you could take it all back? If you've ever sent out a late-night Tweet or Facebook update only to wake up the next morning wishing you hadn't? There's an app for you.

A new iPhone app called "last night never happened" lets you set a time frame and then delete certain items that were sent out during that period.

The app sells for a $1.99.

Wish there was an app to also delete things we say? Maybe someone's working on that.
