The accident happened just after 5:00 a.m. on Roosevelt Boulevard and Goodnaw Street.
After losing control of his car, the driver slammed into a tree. However he was able to get out the vehicle before it caught fire.
The driver was taken to Aria-Hospital, Torresdale Division, with non-life threatening injuries.
It was raining at the time of the accident and police are investigating if weather may have played a part.
