Dallas man accused of drowning sons arraigned

DALLAS - Augsut 23, 2011

Dallas County Magistrate Nan Lollar says 32-year-old Naim Muhammad was arraigned Monday evening, hours after police say he forced the 3- and 5-year-old boys and their mother into a vehicle while they were walking to school.

A police report says the mother jumped out of the vehicle when a constable drove up. She said the suspect jumped the curb and drove off.

Several hours after the boys were taken, authorities say they received a 911 call from a woman who said her son had drowned her grandchildren.

Muhammad is being held on $2 million bond. A court official says he doesn't have an attorney.
