The young driver lost control of his car and crashed into a parked car.
The accident happened early Saturday morning on Stenton Avenue near Durham Street in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
Firefighters had to cut the man free from the wreckage.
The driver is now listed in serious condition at Einstein Medical Center.
Police are continuing to investigate the wreck.
