Three injured after car flies over wall

WYNNEFIELD HEIGHTS - April 13, 2012

Police say the car went out control at around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Investigators say the 42-year-old man driving the vehicle failed to negotiate the intersection at Belmont and Conshohocken avenues.

The car struck a curb then went airborne.

It flew over a six-foot wall on property belonging to the Philadelphia Water Department.

The two women in the car -- ages 31 and 34 -- were taken to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

There's no word on their conditions or on the condition of the driver.

Police are trying to determine if the man was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
