BIRDSBORO, Pa. - May 17, 2012

Christopher D. Yingling, 42, of Birdsboro, faces a number of charges for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Yingling was already in jail for the January 24th shooting and wounding of the victim's father in the Spring Commons Business Complex in Spring Township. Newspapers reports from the time said the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.

According to police Yingling was the boyfriend of the teenage victim's mother and had lived with them for approximately ten years.

During the period of alleged abuse, from June 1st to December 27th, 2011, the victim told police Yinging sexually assaulted her, texted nude photos of her to other people and tried to sell her for sex to his friends.

In addition, police say, Yingling physically forced the victim to call his friends and offer sex acts in exchange for money.

Yingling was arraigned on the sex assault charges on Thursday, bail was set at $200,000 and he was sent back to jail.
