Pardons board again hears condemned killer's plea

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -September 27, 2012

The pardons board will meet Thursday morning to consider the request from 46-year-old Terrance "Terry" Williams, who was convicted in 1986 of fatally beating a man he now claims had been sexually abusing him.

The board already turned down one clemency request.

Williams' attorneys say victim Amos Norwood was a child molester and prosecutors knew about the abuse Williams suffered but leaned on a co-defendant to keep it out of his testimony.

Williams is scheduled to be executed Wednesday. He has also been convicted of third-degree murder for killing another man he claims had abused him.
